Press & Media
The Colosseum Complex Media Guidelines
We appreciate your interest in covering our venues and shows and welcome your participation in our public
events. It is our goal to provide you with access to shows, bands and information you need so that you can
meet your deadlines and prepare stories of interest to your audience.
The following are a few guidelines to assist you as you prepare to cover the events at The Colosseum, The
Pearl Room, Maximus, Capone?s and The Beer Garden.
Official Colosseum Complex ID Badges
Official ID badges are issued by The Colosseum Media Group and are non-transferable. ID badges will be
offered to wire service personnel, representatives of area newspapers, official Colosseum affiliated
photographers and TV news representatives.
Entertainment and Staff Interviews
The Colosseum Media Group can assist you in arranging for interviews with and pictures of entertainers and
bands. Please contact Katie Hafer at 815-919-0853 or by E-mail (
ColosseumComplex@aol.com ) to arrange
your interview needs. Because of their schedules, entertainers/bands cannot be taken out of rehearsals or
regularly scheduled show activities or have meals interrupted for press interviews or pictures. In addition,
interviews or pictures at any location other than the Autograph Signing/Meet and Greet require special
permission from the Colosseum Media Group. If you wish to broadcast live radio interviews with
contestants, please contact Kate Hafer for special permission. Entertainers must consent to radio interviews
beforehand. Tape recordings are permitted in approved areas, but entertainers and staff must consent to such
recordings before hand. To respect our entertainer?s privacy, no pictures or interviews are allowed in dressing
rooms or backstage areas. A photographer/camera person may be granted advance permission by the
Colosseum Media Group to photograph entertainers in stage areas for a few minutes during open rehearsals.
A Colosseum representative will be assigned to the photographer requesting the privilege.
Pictures and interviews are not permitted on stage following the shows. Written requests for interviews or
pictures with the entertainers may be submitted to a Colosseum representative. Also, for interviews with all
other bands, entertainers or affiliates, interviews must be requested in writing and given to a Colosseum Staff
member.
Press Seating
There will be limited seating available during the nights of shows. We will need to know in advance if you
plan to attend so we may add you to the will call list. We will make every attempt to provide you with an
unobstructed view. Still photographers are advised to bring long-lens equipment for use during the shows.
Press conferences can be arranged and entertainers will be available to the media for questions by request.
Capacity is limited and access will be arranged through the Colosseum Media Group
News television camera crews are allowed in the venue on event nights, however you must notify us prior to
the event and receive your credentials.
